2012 is a leap year and is set to be momentous with the Queen’s diamond jubilee and the Olympic Games. Why not make it personally memorable too? Take a leap out of your comfort zone – it will boost your confidence and give you something really interesting to talk to friends and dating partners about. Below are some suggestions for the kind of leap you could make.
Take a leap for a charity
There are many ways you can get involved with a charity, either as a one off or as an ongoing commitment. The great thing about doing charity work is that you will be helping others in a real and practical way, and you’ll also get a nice warm glow as you see how your time and attention can benefit others.
Suggestions:
Help in a soup kitchen,
Volunteer in a shop,
Run a marathon, a half marathon or participate in a charity walk,
Grow a moustache (gentlemen) or organise a cake/bake sale.
Take a physical leap
Leap into a healthier lifestyle or take up a new physical activity – whatever it is make sure it takes you out of your normal comfort zone and requires your body to learn something new.
google_ad_channel = “7940249670, ” + AB_cat_channel + AB_unit_channel;
google_language = “en”;
google_ad_region = ‘test’;
Suggestions:
Learn to dance,
Take up meditation,
Give up a habit that is damaging to your health,
Learn to juggle.
Take a mental leap
The brain is a muscle and, like any other muscle, it will get stronger and more agile the more it is challenged. We need to exercise our mind as much as our body and when you do you will feel the benefit of it in all other areas of your life as your thinking becomes quicker and clearer.
Suggestions:
Learn a language,
Try reading ‘classic’ literature (Dickens is especially apt this year as the UK celebrates his 200th birthday),
Do a crossword, Sudoku or brain training activity every day,
Learn to play chess or bridge.
Take an emotional leap
It’s easy for us to become ‘comfortable’ or stuck in a rut or a routine – emotionally as well as physically. Maybe your leap could be about becoming more emotionally honest in all your relationships. A lot of the time we do things because we feel we should, rather than because we want to, including keeping up with friends – or conversely losing touch with them – because we want to avoid arguments or difficult conversations, or because we think we’re too busy. For once, put your own happiness and emotional needs ahead of making other people happy or doing what you think is expected of you.
Suggestions:
Have a go at meaning what you say – and saying what you mean,
Stop making excuses for other people’s bad behavior,
Be more emotionally expressive, even if it surprises those around you (at first),
Stop saying ‘I don’t mind’ and ask for what you want.

What is the most important element of any business? Many companies might say their bottom line, or the product or service they offer. Others will say their stockholders, or their investors.
Smart companies will say it’s their employees. And they would be right. Without good, motivated employees, both the bottom line and the product or service offered will suffer.
The people who work for a company are the force behind its success, or lack of it. So how do you keep them motivated and creative? One way of doing this is through hiring a motivational public speaker.
A motivational speaker knows which life and work strategies bring success. And a motivational public speaker can make those strategies available to you, if you want them. In this case, knowledge is definitely power.
A motivational speaker does more than simply present information, however. A competent motivational speaker will illustrate how those in your organization can set goals and achieve them. He or she will offer tips and tricks that have been used by successful people around the world.
That’s because a motivational public speaker has likely spent years learning what works in business, and what doesn’t. And that information will be made available to you. It is a valuable experience for everyone, and often very entertaining, as well.
google_ad_channel = “7940249670, ” + AB_cat_channel + AB_unit_channel;
google_language = “en”;
google_ad_region = ‘test’;
What if you need to motivate only one person, even yourself? That’s where a life coach comes in. A life coach does on a small scale what a motivational public speaker does on a larger scale.
You may have a key employee in your organization who just needs that extra push to greatness. A life coach can provide that push. The result just may be a better employee, and a more dedicated one.
Or you yourself may need that extra push. Have you ever tried to accomplish something without success? Did you think that maybe all you needed was a different perspective?
A life coach can provide that new perspective. Hearing a different viewpoint can be all you need to tackle that problem one more time, and win. He or she may offer the insight you’ve been missing all along.
Whichever option you choose, whether motivational speaker or life coach, you’ll have newly energized people at all levels. A motivational public speaker inspires a group; a life coach inspires you, or the key people in your organization.
And the rewards can be lasting. Studies show that employees who feel valued stay longer, and work harder. Employees who are inspired by others are more likely to offer their best work. Hiring a motivational speaker shows your people that you care about them.
A company that cares for its people and recognizes their value is rewarded by less turnover. It is rewarded by more loyalty. And those turn into better productivity, sales, and company image.
Listening to a motivational speaker can be a life-changing event. A motivational public speaker is most often a dynamic, successful person in his or her own right. For these reasons, more and more companies and individuals are lining up to hear what they have to say.

The Third Brick in the Heart

That was one of military training courses over the barrier wall in the junior high school, because we students were too short and small, so instructors piled two bricks and covered a canvas at the take-off before the barrier wall. Although other students’ action was not standardized, they all had turned over the past. It was my turn; I was the shortest in the class, fluttered in the heart.
Silently repeating the essentials of the instructor explaining, I began to run-up, take off, take the hand, and raise hands… But I did not elbow and arm loaded onto the barrier wall, I slipped down. When I was the third time to slip to the ground under the command of the instructors, in front of two meters high barrier wall in my mind has become a mountain impossible to climb. I was lying back, and was very discouraged.
google_ad_channel = “7940249670, ” + AB_cat_channel + AB_unit_channel;

“Encore!” Instructor ordered with. “Could you add a brick for me?” I tried to ask. Instructor pondered for a moment, and then nodded and promised. When the instructor placed the third brick, I have to start at the re-station. Took a deep breath, run, took off, and took the hand, and raised the hands, cross-leg… I finally stood to the other side of the barrier wall.
“I am short of a piece of brick.” I muttered. Instructor looking seriously called me before the barrier wall, and motioned me throw off the canvas to cover the brick. Somehow I held out my hand, and then, I was shocked! Below the canvas, piling with still only two bricks, the third brick was flat on the back. “In fact, the third brick is in your heart.” The instructor’s words echoed in my life since then.
Many times, we are in the lack of adequate knowledge and understanding of our own ability, and often want to rely on help around us. It is always the confidence lying down before a person lying down. Therefore, to overcome the difficulties, the first is to overcome our own.
This tells us that confidence is the catalyst to success, there is no confidence, and then we have no incentive. Even if we have the capability, because we do not believe in our own, so we cannot do anything well. The end result is that we will achieve nothing.

Whether you are religious or not Lent is a good time to tackle one of those bad habits that make you feel unhealthy, negative or like your life is out of control. The 40-day period – from 22 February to 5 April this year – is the perfect length of time to break a habit.
Our habits, good and bad, make us who we are. The key is having some control over them. If you know how to break a bad habit then even a small effort can create a big impact on your life and confidence. Here are some tips to get you started:
Commit yourself to paper
Write down what you are going to do and put it somewhere where you will see it every day. This does two things. First, it helps you be clear about exactly what it is you want to achieve, and second it keeps you on track since it is easy to dismiss a thought, but harder to dismiss a promise printed in front of you.
Don’t give in to cravings
google_ad_channel = “7940249670, ” + AB_cat_channel + AB_unit_channel;
google_language = “en”;
google_ad_region = ‘test’;
Most people fail when trying to change a habit because they give in to cravings. Understanding how cravings work can stop us from yielding. They are like a wave, they rise to a peak and then fall. People tend to believe that unless they give into a craving it will get worse and more intense. It won’t. It will pass and each one you resist will make the next one easier.
Fill the void
It is easier to give something up completely rather than cutting down because the latter method keeps the habit alive. This will often leave a big void in our life which will make us vulnerable to relapse unless we find a way to fill it. Taking up a new healthy hobby like dancing or running can help fill the space and will also boost self esteem.
Enlist support
Advertise what you are doing among your friends, family and colleagues and tell them that you would really appreciate their support. You may be lucky enough to find someone who also wants to break a bad habit and you could be a valuable source of support and encouragement for each other.
Rewards
Rewards are an important way of staying motivated. Make sure you plan something really nice for 5 April (or whenever your 40 days are up if you start later).
The thrill of succeeding in breaking a bad habit will boost your health and confidence – and your relationships, which will improve as you begin to feel fabulous and radiate positive vibes.
Good luck!

Sometimes we get stuck in a rut in our lives because we become accustomed to playing a role, adhering to a script that wasn’t ours to begin with but was inherited from our upbringing or reflect the paths our lives have taken. If you want to move from being an unknown to a worthy nominee, it’s time to re-script your life.
Go through makeup and wardrobe
Get a couple of black bags and have a really good clear out of all your clothes. Be tough – get rid of any clothes you haven’t worn for over a year, those that you have grown out of or those that simply never suited you anyway. Look to people in the media for direction and find someone who is a similar age and body shape to you whose style you admire. Start collecting bits and pieces in that style – I’m not advocating a whole new wardrobe straight away! Start with accessories and maybe add a few pieces in a new colour. You can also experiment with different hairstyles and ways of doing your makeup, either of which have to be expensive. Ask friends for honest feedback if you are unsure about the results.
Check your character profile
google_ad_channel = “7940249670, ” + AB_cat_channel + AB_unit_channel;
google_language = “en”;
google_ad_region = ‘test’;
Many of us never take the time to have a really good look at ourselves. Many of us have stayed pretty much the same since we were teenagers. Do you ever think about who you are, and whether you like it? Are your values, beliefs and habits your own or were they inherited from your parents? If you were to write a character profile for yourself what would it say? You can change things about that profile easily enough but first you must ask yourself what. Work on one or two small things and, gradually, you’ll be able to turn your negative traits into positive ones and feel all the better for it.
Look at your co-stars
We are shaped very much by who we spend our time with. Are your co-stars supportive and encouraging of you becoming the very best version of you that you can be, or are they just as stuck in their ruts and slightly resentful when you try to make some changes? Don’t worry – if you’re brave enough to try some new activities, break a habit or make a few positive changes by yourself, you’ll soon have more fun and meet some great new people along the way.
Have a strong plot line
Do you know where is your story going? If you don’t know where you are going, how will you know when you get there? It’s an easy way to get stuck in a rut. Writing a loose five-year plan is a really good way of keeping an eye on the things you want to do and achieve in a rough time-frame.
Remember, the world is your stage – make yours an Oscar winning performance!

Basic human attraction is what draws one object towards another, if we are attracted to something it means we are intrigued by it, and a lot of men believe that a woman’s attraction means their willingness to sleep with them, not true, and if you as a man think like this it can be very harmful to your dating life.
The shy man needs to learn about attraction and value, to pick up the right signals, remember a woman can be attracted to a man and not want to sleep with him, but in a man’s world there is a lot of confusion about attraction and sex all the time.
Attraction has two definite categories sexual attraction and value, and most social psychologists believe that human sexual attractiveness is governed by physical attractiveness, visual perception, how the other smells, naturally or artificially, and how the others voice and/or movements sound.
Obviously if you are learning how to attract women, visual perception or looks is all about how you are dressed, groomed and carry yourself, advice given to guys always seems to be ‘just be yourself’, but it really means being your BEST self that matters. Think about this for one minute, by advising a guy to ‘be yourself’ to a guy who doesn’t shower and wears unflattering clothes wont get him anywhere in the game of how to get girls, furthermore if he cant take care of himself then how will he take care of the women in his life.
google_ad_channel = “7940249670, ” + AB_cat_channel + AB_unit_channel;
google_language = “en”;
google_ad_region = ‘test’;
The second part of attraction is value. Value is the worth you put on something, in terms of attraction, it is how much importance the girl places on you. In the beginning stages of learning how to talk to girls, you wont have much significance because she doesn’t know you, but as you get into the swing of things and learn more and more on how to talk to women, have fun, create emotions or laughter, joy and happiness your value begins to rise.
Women weigh different things when judging a man’s value, for example she will be looking for leadership qualities, can he display emotions, is he disciplined in his life, how does he make a girl feel, is he fun, is he confident, is he social, is he important, and more importantly can he protect people that are important to him.
Although every woman is different some of these characteristics are what women tend to look for in a man. Emotions are the fuel that pumps the overall attraction and if you don’t stir her emotions she will likely dismiss you, learn to change her mood and not her mind, make her feel positive and happy and this will be the first step on how to get a girlfriend.
Much has been written over the years about men woman attraction and how it works, and Gary Goldstein, the founder of the social Attraction Academy has much to say on the subject, and he explained “our social attraction academy deals with, how to talk to girls and ultimately how to pick up girls, in the nicest possible way. We work on the guy’s belief system, we make you aware of what attraction is and from that you can start building connections with women, log onto our website and check us out”.
